Mobile Site Initiative!™
Over 80% of internet usage in Japan is done with "Keitai Denwa" (mobile phones). The percentage is growing every year. The Japanese aren't simply reading emails either; they are blogging, shopping and even being entertained!
The Mobile Site Initiative will result in a web site designed for Japanese mobile handsets that has:
- Animated stories that share the Gospel in a Japanese way
- A written presentation of the Gospel
- A GPS Map tool that can be used to find a church or Christian center near-by
The site will be promoted within Japan by volunteers who distribute flyers on the streets of major cities as well as through social networking sites such as MIXI and YouTube.
In the 16th and 17th century, a people group movement resulted in millions of new Japanese Christians that continued to thrive until the great persecution of Japanese Christians that began in the Tokugawa period. Such a people group movement could happen again. The Mobile Site Initiative is based on that Japanese-Christian People Group Movement in 3 ways:
- Soap box evangelism - stand where you can be seen and heard, if everyone is looking at their mobile, then that should be our soap box
- Reaching the Japanese as a group (non-individual based) - Entertainment is a great way of sharing information with many people at the same time
- Good News is shared with family and friends - this is where (long established) relationships come into play. Viewers can share with their friends and family through Mixi/social networking, as well as through word of mouth

Tell Others:
The easiest way you can help us with our goal is to tell others about what we're doing! You can start by telling your friends and family, posting on your blog and joining our Facebook page. Help us get the word out about the need in Japan and how Let's Love Japan is meeting that need!
Financial Support:
The estimated cost to reach one million Japanese people through this project is $55,000. Please give as you are able. The majority of the funds will go to the costs of flyer hand-outs, which with cost about $.05 per flyer. We can reach 100 people for $5! Other nominal costs include software expenses and project marketing. You can make a donation right now from our donations page or send us a check. Your donations are tax deductible as Let's Love Japan is a 501(c)(3) organization. Every penny from donations goes to support our efforts, and all of our board members are unpaid volunteers.
Share Talents:
Are you a talented Manga-style artist? Are you able speak Japanese and translate Christian concepts into contemporary Japanese? Are you a musician who can write original music for our videos? Pray:
Something everyone can do to help us is pray. Please pray for the country of Japan and its people, that they will know the grace and love of the Lord, Jesus Christ. Pray that we will meet our funding needs and that our production process will be done swiftly and to a high quality. And, lastly, pray for the Kingdom of God to continue to spread out around the Earth until the day when every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.
